Hello, I'm Cathy
Nearly twenty years ago we left the UK to set up home near a small town in the French Pyrenees. My husband and I and our two young daughters moved to a farmhouse, the girls went to the local school and we set about renovating our home and enjoying life.
We had been looking for business opportunities and so ten years ago we created a micro-brewery in our local town, making and selling craft beers to nearby bars, restaurants and shops. To develop our beer sales further, a few years ago we took over a local hotel and now run the hotel during the summer season, as well as selling our beers on the bar terrace and in our shop.
Both these activities are quite full-on during the season and, although we brew beer during the winter months, I was looking for something different to focus on during the down-time.
I also wanted something that I could do from anywhere, whilst visiting friends and family, giving me freedom and flexibility, as well as the opportunity to earn some money.
We love Irish Wolfhounds - here are two of ours in the river which crossed our land.
We don't leave the hotel much in the summer months - all the more reason to go for a walk in the winter!

I started looking for job or business opportunities that would enable me to work from home here in France, but I wasn't sure I would find anything with the flexibility I needed...
